Youth and Christian Education

Shea Hughes

The Youth and Christian Education Department of Missouri prides itself in the quality and consistency of our programs. As we are one of the smaller regions numerically we still are able to provide events for our youth that allow them to connect with God and experience His power. I believe that our events are second to none. We are able to provide top speakers and musicians for our events.

Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where our youth can grow in their relationship with God, grow in their relationships with one another, and just to have a blast!

Every year we see youth saved, restored, baptized with power and called into ministry. This generation has a desire to connect with God and then go out and fulfill the Great Commission like no previous one. I am a firm believer that there is no greater thing we can do in the Church today than to minister to this generation, in a way that they will find the message relevant.

Our annual events include - Wild West Winterfest, Xtreme Youth Camps, Junior Talent, Teen Talent, and Camp Meeting Youth Day.

Women Ministering to Women

Cathy Gillum

The Women of Missouri realize that they were carefully created for ministry. We celebrate the uniqueness of women and have chosen ways to minister and meet the needs in various forms to reach the needs of the 21st century woman.
The Contemporary Missouri Christian women engage their communities by:

• Teaching and being taught;
• Leading and being lead;
• Discipling and being discipled;
• Praying and being prayed for;
• Comforting and being comforted;
• Mentoring and being mentored;
• Listening and being heard;
• Worshiping God and receiving from Him;
• Finding a need and seeing it met.

Missouri women conduct active Bible Studies, Kids, Clubs, Food Pantries and visitation programs. These will include hospitals, nursing homes, jails, and assisted living residences. There are self-improvement projects and ministry to various Social and Community concerns.

The Missouri Women's Ministries financially assist Women with a Mission, Ministries of Benevolence such as the “Show Me Cottage” at the Smokey Mountain Home for Children and Covenant Partners within the Church of God. They also minister locally at birthing centers, widows care ministries, inter-city ministries and Angel Food Ministry Food Distribution.

Missouri Women’s ministry groups are as different as the communities and individuals whom they serve. Theirs is a ministry that is uniquely designed to perform!

“You have…laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. . .”

Abigail HughesShepherding the young women of today is no easy mission.  They are facing demonic attacks from every side because the devil knows if they ever realize who they are in Christ, he will be defeated!

The Girls' Ministries Department in Missouri has one mission:  to show the love of Christ to all girls. No matter where they come from, what they have done, what has been done to them, our goal is to let them know that they have a Father in heaven and a strong church family that loves them enough to help guide and shape them into the women that God has called them to be.
